Power BI Consultant

Core Responsibilities
Design and develop end-to-end business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, data integration, and report/dashboard creation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and design efficient and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Develop complex Power BI data models to enable accurate and efficient data analysis and visualization.
Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and work with stakeholders to address them.
Create and maintain data connections and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI.
Optimize performance and usability of Power BI reports and dashboards by tuning queries, implementing efficient data models, and applying best practices.
Ensure data security and compliance standards are met by implementing appropriate security measures and access controls within Power BI.
Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate Power BI with other systems and data sources, including on-premises and cloud-based platforms.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and related technologies, and proactively apply them to enhance the overall BI solution.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Power BI developers, assisting them in solving complex problems and improving their skills.
Production Support of reports, dashboards, and schedules for EMEA and North American user base
Train and support end users, as well as self-service capabilities to help non-technical business users build their own analytics and reporting solutions


Basic Qualifications:
3 – 5 years' experience as an analytics developer specializing in Power BI
Proficient in utilizing Power Query and DAX
Educated to degree level preferably in an IT-related discipline, or with significant industry experience
Knowledge of, and a willingness and ability to adapt to new analytics technologies
A very strong understanding of relational and dimensional databases and an ability to query databases to troubleshoot issues in reporting
A flair for clean User Interface / Dashboard design principles
Ability to absorb & present complex ideas quickly & accurately
Ability to provide solutions to a tight deadline
Good prioritization and time management
A positive approach to work and to fellow team members
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Attention to detail in all aspects of working life

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Denodo is a plus
Experience utilizing APIs
Experience with Cloud based platforms (Preferably Azure) is a plus
Nice to have exposure to PowerApps and Power Automate
Hands on experience with Power BI on-premises enterprise data gateways
Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Cognos) is a plus
