Performance Test Engineer

• Responsible for testing the performance of complex software features built to accomplish business outcomes
• Help condition and generate test data, build and execute Load Runner performance test suites, record and communicate the test results, and assist with triaging defects
• Ascertain and understand application architecture involved in the test
• Review application "use case structure with the client
• Prepare and validate test scripts
• Ensure sufficient data is available to support the requested tests
• Coordinate test times in multiple test environments
• Validate environment resources
• Execute tests and collect relevant performance and resource usage data
• Analyze test data from sources like Splunk/Dynatrace
• Prepare test report, discuss the results with Development team
• Participate in the application triage calls
• Understanding of Network Firewalls, Load-balancers, and complex network designs
• Actively participates in Agile ceremonies

Requirements:
• QA performance professional with 8+ years' experience as a performance engineer
• Well versed on performance testing practices ensuring that software is tested to meet defined SLA standards
• Expert in designing, developing and executing test cases within Load Runner using C
• Basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices
• Ability to participate in their role and utilize necessary tools with minimal guidance
• Understands the importance of governance processes and the basic elements of risk and control within the organization
• Has the ability to complete a task/story against plan/sprint commitment
• Demonstrates working knowledge of Agile/Waterfall frameworks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
• Great team player, with an ability to mentor other team members to enable them to become more established in their role
• A willingness to get involved at times even when not in the area of expertise
