Data Stage Developer

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining
the bank's infrastructure in support of RWA and DFAST requirements as
related to an FBO BHC/IHC.
* Subject-Matter Expert applying technical knowledge to deliver new
capabilities and/or resolve problems.
* Act as point of contact for RWA ETL engine.
* Reports to Director - Head of data management

THE DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Collaborates with business stakeholders to deliver new capabilities,
data, and systems to ensure compliance with Dodd Frank
Risk Management requirements.
* Develops/maintain DataStage code in support of RWA Data Mart and Engine.
* Designs, develops and maintains code for other requirements i.e.
DFAST or Market Risk initiatives.
* Tunes ETL jobs and SQL queries for optimization
* Works with various application team members to obtain requirements
for development work.
* Creates Unit Test plans, performs Unit Testing for interface
processes developed or modified.
* Creates documentation for processes developed and updates
documentation for modifications.
* Performs peer code reviews including verification of compliance with
coding standards and ensures code developed adheres to coding
standards and functional / technical specifications.
* Coordinates code promotion activities through all SDLC environments
and validates that promoted interface code is working as expected.
* Assists QA team with identifying QA test cases and supports during QA testing.
* Updates team leader and project manager with status of assigned
development/project work.
* Supports weekend maintenance, technology / business recovery tests
and system verification / validation events.
* Keeps up-to-date on new features and enhancements of development
tools used by the team.
* Supports RWA including - BHC data mart, DFAST, other Credit or
Market Risk ETL implementations required as part of forming a BHC.
* Provide ad-hoc research and analysis for business users.
